Q: Do catering companies provide plates?
A: Yes, just let us know how many attendees will be at your event, and we'll bring all of the dishware and cutlery.
Q: Do catering companies charge gratuity?
A: No, Distinguished Catering does not charge gratuity, nor encourages it among our staff.
Q: How do caterers / catering companies keep the food warm?
A: We keep the food warm using professional 'chafers', which are tub-like buffet dishes that have either gas, oil, or candles below them keeping them warm and at a regulated temperature.
Q: How do catering companies work?
A: We own a central kitchen capable of manufacturing and producing a large quantity of meals and food items. Once we get a request from a client for a catering service, or for product distribution, we reserve the date, then begin the creation process of the desired food items moments before the required items are delivered, placing them in their respective containers or packages along with garnish and decoration, loading them into layered hot trays to keep them warm, or for chilled and frozen goods, we load them into our freezers or garde manger (ventilated chilled area) for storage. Once the delivery time comes around, we then load our food products into our delivery trucks equipped with freezers and heaters, and deliver our products and services to the desired locations.
Q: Do caterers provide chairs and tables?
A: No, the furniture is normally provided by the venue that the event is being held in. We can provide buffet tables and themed buffet tables on request.
